This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a helmet, and some cherry blossoms. One of the flags is that of Manchukuo. The words are "Victorious Return Commemoration" "Manchuria Dispatch Yamaguchi Unit". During operations units are commonly identified by their commanders' family names. Yamaguchi here is one such case. The soldier's name Bako is on the back.
