This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a building with a flag on top - usually meaning a regimental HQ of some kind, with a crane on top. The words are "Unit Assignment Commemoration" and the soldier's name Bako on the back.

Condition: Excellent - some fading of the gold around the rim
