This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, one of a collection of cups from the same person. The cup is decorated with a naval insignia. The words on the back are of the cup are "Gift to Mr. Yokoyama" and "Members of the same-year sailors of the Machinery Division of the Warship Katori". This is most likely the first Katori - the battleship that was decommissioned in 1923. I have a number of cups that were intended for this same Yokoyama person from the ship.

Condition: Excellent - small spots of loss of gold on the surface
