Rare Antique Japanese Military China Incident Seven Lucky Gods Jeju Island Lacquer Sake Cup Set
This is a set of 7 antique Japanese military sake cups, each one decorated with one of the seven lucky gods. On the back of four of the cups are the words "China Incident Call-up Commemoration". One the other three are the words "Cheju Military Support Alliance". Cheju is of course the southern island of Korea, which was annexed by Japan along with the Korean peninsula in 1910. The seven lucky gods are supposed to bring good luck and each have a stylized look.
