This is a set of antique Japanese military door signs. The center one is for a soldier on a tour - the words in black are "Soldier On Expedition" and under the line is his name, Kenda Asaji. The sign is painted wood. The sign on the left is for a regular member of the Patriotic Women's Association name Kenda Tenko - likely his wife. The sign on the right says "Nitta Clan branch". On the back of the sign has the words "Amended" and the date "Meiji 22nd Year (1889) September 23rd". Nitta clan is an ancient Japanese clan that claims ancestry to the Minamotos, the first family that established the Shogun system. Being from the Nitta clan implies military heritage.

Condition: Excellent - minor wear and damage on the edges
