This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a star on the front, and on the back are the words "Taisho 4th Year December, Enthronement Ceremony Troop Review Participation Commemoration" and under the cup is "Minister of the Army". This cup would've been issued to soldiers (the word participation here means someone standing in line for review, not spectate) who were there as part of the review. The words on the lid of the original box are the same.
