This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, made of silver and decorated with the words "Showa 6th year (1931) Manchurian Incident Participation Commemoration" and on the back "Fushun Garrison Unit". Fushun is a town near the city of Shenyang (Mukden) and was one of the garrison towns for the Japanese before the Mukden Incident, which triggered a war with China resulting in the establishment of Manchukuo. A soldier in the unit would've been heavily involved in the initial fighting that started the conflict. The cup weighs about 30g.
