This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a bunch of cherry blossoms, a railroad unit insignia, and the words "Glory of the Nation". The words are "Manchuria Independent Defense Unit" and in red "Discharge Commemoration". The soldier's name Imabe is on the back.
