This is an antique Japanese military sake bottle, decorated with a flag, a helmet, and some cherry blossoms, with the words "Victorious Return Commemoration" and on the back "Manchuria Maoershan Garrison" and the soldier's name Aki. Maoershan is a town southeast of Harbin in modern day Heilongjiang province.

Condition: Excellent - some fading of the gold
