This is an antique Japanese military plate, decorated with the five virtues of a soldier on a scroll, with a flag, some cherry blossoms, and a poem. The words "Commemoration" is at the rim at 6 o'clock. The plate is made of copper.

Condition: The surface of the plate is a bit rough to the touch - not sure what it is with the streaks. I suspect it's possible to buff them out with some polish but I'm not certain
