This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a detailed picture of fortress artillery, a star, and the words "Tsushima Heavy Artillery Commemoration" and the soldier's name Ishii. Tsushima is of course the island between Japan and Korea that guarded this important naval passage.
