This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a helmet, a flag, and some cherry blossoms. The black words are "Doing your utmost to repay the country" and the red words "Great East Asian War Commemoration". Great East Asian War is Japan's reference to the Pacific War after 1940. The exterior of the cup is in the shape of a helmet, with five shells as the base and a raised "design trademarked" mark.
