This is an antique Japanese military dish, decorated with a picture of Japanese soldiers with a flag entering a city, with the Qing flag coming down, and some warships in the back. The words on the dish are "Picture of our troops landing on Penghu Island" which is part of the occupation of Taiwan after the 1895 Sino Japanese War.
