This is a lacquered Japanese antique military sake cup, decorated with a cherry blossom branch and the words "Victorious Return". On the back are the words "Meiji 28th Year (1895) Taiwan Conquest Participation Commemoration". Cups referring to Japan's campaign in Taiwan are very rare. This one and the other I'm currently selling are only one of a few I've ever come across.

Size: 4" diameter

Condition: One chip of the paint at 5 o'clock. Some sunlight fading.
