Antique Japanese 1895 Qing Conquest Rising Sun Army Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese lacquered sake cup, decorated with a sun with rays in the center. The words on the outside are "Qing Conquest Army Commemoration" "Yamanashi Serving the Public Volunteer Association". Qing conquest here refers to the first Sino-Japanese War of 1895 when Japan fought and beat the Qing, taking the first step down the road towards WW2. This cup is 120 years old!
Condition: Excellent - light scratches on the gold in the middle
