Antique Japanese 1932 Imperial Inspection Commemoration Bottle and Cups Set

Regular price $0

This is an antique Japanese sake bottle and cup set with two cups and a bottle. The words on the front of the bottle are "Imperial Inspection Commemoration" and on the back of the bottle "Showa 7th Year January" and three names, Fujimura, Shirai, and Kitada. The words on the cup are identical without the date. The insignia suggests that this is probably a firefighting unit as it contains the first word for "firefighter" in the insignia. Any visit by the emperor would be reason enough to commemorate given the godly status of the emperor at the time.

Condition: Excellent - some fading of the gold. The bottle's mouth has a dip but it's not a chip as it's smooth and glazed

Size: 5.75" tall x 2" across, cups are 2" across
