Antique Japanese 1934 Heisei Emperor Birth Commemoration Lacquer Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese sake cup, decorated with the 16 leaf chrysanthemum of the imperial house, and on the back of the cup are the words "Crown Prince Imperial Birth Commemoration". The lid of the box has the words "His Majesty the Crown Prince Birth Congratulatory Feast Bestowed Cup" "Showa 9th Year February 26th". This is the birth of the current emperor, the Heisei emperor.
