Antique Japanese Furlough Commemoration Infantry Army Sake Bottle
This is an antique Japanese military sake bottle, decorated with a flag and a branch of chrysanthemum, with a star on top and the words "Furlough Commemoration". The back of the bottle has a painted bamboo represented by the dashed line, and the words "33rd Infantry Regiment" and the soldier's name Ando. This is a gray glaze pottery, which is natrually crackled like celadon, and take on a deeper color over time with use, making the lines more visible.
