This is an antique Japanese lacquered sake cup, decorated with a kiri with 5,7, and 5 leaves. The words are "Imperially Bestowed Sake and Food Commemoration" and under the kiri "Manchuria Incident", which refers to Japan's initial invasion of Manchuria in the early 1930s which eventually established the Manchukuo state. The cup is probably for some kind of celebratory meal given to the soldiers after the success of the campaign.
