This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a chrysanthemum, and the words "Qing Conquest Victorious Return". The cup is slightly repaired with the kintsugi method - a gold lacquer used to patch up cups and other ceramics, and actually is a time honored tradition (and these days very expensive).
