This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a chrysanthemum, and the words "Infantry 17th Regiment 2nd Company". Under the flags are "Meiji 27/28th Years War Participation Commemoration Cup". This commemorates the 1st Sino Japanese War of 1895 - it's a 125 years old item in great condition.
