This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a flag and the words "2nd Regimental Standard Day Commemoration" "35th Infantry Regiment". The 35th Regiment got their standard in 1898, so the 2nd anniversary would be 1900. It was based in Kanazawa. The cup is red to mimic lacquer.

Condition: Excellent - a small chip in the base ring
