Antique Japanese Military 1914 Infantry Kendo Kangeiko Training Commemoration Bronze Vase

Regular price $0

This is an antique Japanese military commemorative vase, decorated on one side with the words "Taisho 3rd Year Kangeiko Participation Commemoration 7th Infantry Regiment". Kangeiko is "winter training", which is actually a pretty hardcore set of training regimen - you train in the early morning in winter, sometimes doing it outdoors or just with doors/windows open (I would imagine the army did it outdoors in the training grounds). The idea is to toughen you up and focus your mind, thus helping you in combat. The other side of the vase has two crossed training swords. The base of the vase has the words "Made by Yamagawa".

Condition: Excellent - some oxidation and surface wear

Size: 4" tall x 2.5" wide
