This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of phoenixes and a naval insignia in the center with a star instead of the normal cherry blossom. The words on the back are "Showa 3rd Year Enthronement Special Naval Review Commemoration". 186 ships participated in this review with the emperor on the Haruna.
