Antique Japanese Military 1932 Imperial Sharpshooter Award Lacquer Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a 16 petals Imperial Chrysanthemum crest, and the words "Imperially Bestowed". The words on the side are "Showa 7th Year (1932) Sharpshooting Competition Winner Award 1st Imperial Guards Infantry Regiment 7th Company". This is a cup that is coming from the emperor directly - the use of the 16 petal crest is reserved for the throne (cadet branches use 14 petals) and this is the 1st regiment of the guards. The cup comes with a wooden box.
Condition: Excellent - a couple of light scratches on the gold
