Antique Japanese Military 1937 Air Raid Drill Commemoration Sake Bottle

Regular price $0

This is an interesting antique Japanese sake bottle, decorated on the front with a very well done landscape. The back has the words "Showa 12th year (1937) Kobe-Osaka Area Air Raid Drill Participation Commemoration" "Zenroku Association Chairman" and the full name Nishida Shitaro. Not sure what the Zenroku association did. This must've been an air raid drill in response to the beginning of the 2nd Sino-Japanese War. Who knew they got themselves bottles for going to some air raid drill? The name of the kiln Kutani is in the base.

Condition: Mint

Size: 5.75" tall x 2" across
