Antique Japanese Military 1939 Helmet Arisaka Rifle Metal Paper Weight
This is an antique Japanese military paperweight, decorated in the shape of a helmet resting on an Arisaka rifle. There are two rows of words lightly carved onto the back of the helmet (difficult to see in the photos due to patina). The phrases are "Gift" "Imperial Review Commemoration" and the name Saito with the date 14.5.22, which translates into 1939 May 22nd.
Condition: Some surface wear - clear signs of use - and nicks on the helmet.
