This is a rare antique Japanese military cup, decorated with a plane on the front with a map of China featuring the cities of Changsha and Chongqing. On the other two sides is a shield with a man - a mythical figure of some type, although I'm not certain who, and the words "New Order in East Asia". This is an idea promoted by the Prime Minister Konoe in late 1938 about the new East Asian Co-Prosperity Circle, dating this cup to around that time - probably 1939 or 1940 when the war seemed to be going well. The cup is decorated also with the word "Loyalty" embossed on the base.
