This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, made in the shape of a helmet with three points so the cup will stand up. The interior of the cup has the words "Victory Helmet" in the center and the four characters around it are, I believe, Buddhist good luck words. The color of the cup is a reddish brown. These were sold as good luck charms that were meant to ward off death. The cup is made of bakelite, an early type of plastic.
