Antique Japanese Military Border Defense Unit Army Sake Bottle
This is an antique Japanese military sake bottle, decorated on the front with a branch of chrysanthemums. The words on the back are "National Border Defense Unit" "Discharge Commemoration" and the soldier's name Watabe. The national border defense unit is a unit type in the Kanto army, initially posted along the Korea-China border then into places in Manchukuo and Mongolia as the army's reach expanded. It's not clear where exactly this is from.
