Antique Japanese Military China Incident Kutani Landscape Bottle and Cup Set
This is an antique Japanese military sake bottle with cup set, decorated with a nice landscape painting and the words "China Incident Victorious Return Commemoration" on the back. The painting is signed "Gyokuho" and the base of the bottle has the kiln's name Kutani stamped and the soldier's name Sugimoto in gold. The matching cup has a similar landscape and the words "Victorious Return" and also signed Gyokuho. Signed Kutani items are some of the best decorated Japanese ceramics out there.
Condition: Excellent - some dirt and slight fading of the yellow background
