This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a helmet with two flags, one of them is the army battle flag and the other is the five colors flag of the puppet government set up by the Japanese after 1937. The words are "Victorious Return Commemoration" and the soldier's name Kuriyama is on the back. The exterior has an embossed cherry blossom pattern.
