This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a flag and some cherry blossoms. The words are "Leaving the service commemoration" "10th Infantry" and the quite rare phrase "Received Decoration". This would suggest that this cup was for some sort of reception of military honors - maybe an Order of Rising Sun or Golden Kite. 

Condition: Excellent - slight fading of the gold
