This is an antique Japanese military army rice bowl, decorated on the exterior with a star and on the interior with a pair of flags. I don't believe this is actually a field example, but probably something more of a commemorative nature.

Condition: Excellent - at the rim above the star there's a spot where the glaze isn't perfect so it has a notch
