This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a fortress heavy artillery. The words are "Geiyu Heavy Artillery Battalion". Geiyu refers to the group of island in Seto Sea east of Hiroshima (and more importantly, Kure). It guards one of the entrances to the naval port of Kure.
