This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a helmet, a katana, and some cherry blossoms. The words are "China Incident Commemoration". The black words are "Spirit of Yamato" - or Japanese spirit, as Yamato is the old name for Japan. The exterior of the cup is has a cherry blossom and poem pattern.
