This is a pair of Japanese military themed flag shaped saucers. The dishes are for sake cups, and might have come with cups that were red or at least red in the center, so that the cups formed a whole Japanese flag. The saucers had these decorations for the pole as well, and on the back are the maker's mark. One is the flag with rays, which is the army flag, and the other is the national flag the Hinomaru.
