This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of cherry blossoms, a flag with the signal unit insignia, and a battery insignia. The words are "Imperial Guards Signal 1st Regiment" "Discharge Commemoration". The soldier's name Matsuda is on the back.
