Antique Japanese Military Imperial Guards Brigade Cavalry Regiment Furoshiki Wrapping Cloth
This is an antique Japanese military furoshiki, decorated with two seals - one has the words "Imperial Guards Brigade 13th Cavalry Regiment" with the soldier's name Takaki in the middle. The square one says "Discharge Commemoration". This is a furoshiki - wrapping cloth. The Imperial Guards had three cavalry regiments under its brigade - the Imperial Guards Cavalry regiment, and the 13th and 14th regiments based at Narashino. This was the organization around 1930 at the beginning of the Showa reign, which dates the item to probably sometime in the 1930s.
