This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a big and rather unique looking Imperial Guards insignia, and the words "Imperial Guards Commemoration". The words on the back are "Imperial Guards 1st Infantry Regiment 5th Company". The soldier's name Katashima is in the base.
