This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a cherry blossom and a double star of the military academies. This one is quite interesting though, because the double star is literally two stars, one layered on top the other, whereas usually they're depicted as one 10 pointed star. The words are "Army Infantry School" "Assignment Commemoration". The soldier's name Oku is on the back.
