This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a kiri and a badge of the Order of Rising Sun, and the words "19th Infantry Regiment" "Unit Disbandment Commemoration". The soldier's name Yamamoto is on the back. This is probably from the early 20s when a bunch of units were disbanded as a general disarmament.
