This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a helmet, a flag, and a scroll with one of the soldier's five virtues. The words are "Leaving the service commemoration" "17th Infantry Regiment". The cup's exterior is in the shape of a helmet with three shells as the base and the words "Loyalty and Bravery" embossed.
