This is a pair of Japanese military sake cups, decorated each like a helmet with a star attached and three "feet" to stand on. The words on one cup inside the feet are "40th Infantry" and the other cup has the names of Tottori Prefecture, Tottori City, and Hyogo Prefecture. This is the home area of the 40th Infantry. The inside of the cups are lined with tin.
