This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, made of silver and decorated on the front with the message "Commemorating the comradeship and loyalty of Azai Seiji, All NCO officers of the 12th Infantry Regiment". This would be a cup given to Azai by the NCO of the 12th. The message on the lid of the box says the same - silver cup given by the NCO of the 12th Infantry Regiment. Azai was a career army officer and I'm selling another cup that also belonged to him
