This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a star, and a branch of a tree. The words are "51st Infantry Regiment" "Term Fulfillment Commemoration". The soldier's name Nakanishi is on the back. I'm not sure what the branch is for - some symbol of the regiment, perhaps?
