This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a kiri, a chrysanthemum, and a poem. The words in the little oval shape are "18th Infantry" and at the end of the poem "Commemoration". The soldier's name Asai is on the back. 

Condition: Excellent - very light fading of gold
