This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a badge of the Order of Rising Sun, and a poem in the center. The words are "Infantry 71st Regiment" and the soldier's name Ogata is on the back. Infantry units in the 70s were stationed in Korea.
