This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a flag and some cherry blossoms, and the words "Manchuria Incident Victorious Return Commemoration" and "Kawahigashi village" (literally the village east of the river). The exterior of the cup is decorated in the shape of a helmet with a plane as the base. Note that the star on the helmet is painted and not embossed.
