This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, one of which is the flag of Manchukuo, and a poem. The words are "Manchuria Dispatch Commemoration" and "Yuasa Unit". Yuasa unit referred to the 3rd Infantry Regiment under the command of Yuasa Masao. He was the regimental commander after the February 26th Incident in which the regiment was a leading unit in the failed coup. The unit was then sent out to Manchuria as a way to get it out of town and garrisoned at Qiqihar - during which it ended up participating in the invasion of China in 1937. The soldier's name Itsuka is on the back.
